Controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma is again in the news, this time for announcing a biopic on late actor-politician Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao or NTR as he was popularly known.

The director posted on his Facebook page that the film will be titled “Lakshmi’s NTR”, named after his wife Lakshmi Parvati.

He said that the film will especially focus on the final days of the veteran actor adding that it will expose those who punched and backstabbed the former chief minister and founder of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Describing the title of the film, RGV termed it ‘congruous’ and ‘felicitous’.

Earlier, RGV had earned the wrath of admirers of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, when he released the first look of the film titled ‘Reddy Garu Poyaaru’ (Reddy is no more). However, the movie never saw the light of day.

Previously, RGV had made a biopic Raktha Charithra on TDP leader Paritala Ravi, who was shot dead by his rivals.
