Remya Nambeesan will replace Adah Sharma in Kshanam's Tamil remake

Written by : TNM

Kshanam is easily one of the best received Telugu films in recent times.

The film was so well received that even outside Andhra and Telangana, it ran to packed houses for several weeks.

Even though the film mostly starred newcomers and lesser known actors, it was lapped up for its content.

Actor Sibiraj, son of Sathyaraj, has bought the Tamil remake rights of the film and he’s assembled the team to commence work on the project.

Although Adah Sharma, who played a pivotal role in the original, was originally considered for the role, she had to be replaced because she demanded high remuneration.

After much contemplation, the makers have zeroed in on Remya Nambeesan to play the leading lady. She will be seen as the mother of a small girl whose mysterious disappearance forms the core of the film.

The rest of the cast and crew are in the process of being finalized. The makers are yet to finalize the role of the lady cop which was originally played by TV anchor-turned-actress Anasuya.

Going by some reports, Akshara Gowda has been considered for the role.

However, it has not yet been made official.
