Sivakarthikeyan’s Remo is reportedly making a killing at the box-office.

Having released amid high expectations worldwide on Friday, the Bakkiyaraj Kannan-directed romantic-comedy managed to gross around Rs 8 crore on the first day in Tamil Nadu.

It has also ended up as the third biggest opener of the year after Kabali and Theri.

According to trade sources, the film even surpassed the opening day numbers of Suriya’s 24 and Vikram’s Irumugan.

With the six-day long weekend, trade sources believe the film is expected to strike gold at the box-office with over Rs 30 crore in earnings.

With Remo, Sivakarthikeyan has joined the big league and has proved that one need not have to wait for stardom, which he has achieved in about four years.

With a lifetime gross of around Rs 3 crore in Tamil Nadu for his maiden film, Marina, Siva has come a long, long way with Remo, which could easily end up as a blockbuster.
