Release of Shruti Haasan-starrer ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ postponed by one week to June 9

The Shruti Haasan-starrer Behen Hogi Teri, which was supposed to hit screens on June 2 has been postponed by a week for a number of reasons, according to trade sources. Reports say that the film’s release had already been postponed by a week from May 26 to June 2. Now, the film sees another week’s delay.

Touted to be a romantic comedy, the film stars Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan in the lead. Also featured in the cast are Gautam Gulati, Gulshan Grover, Ranjeet, Kamlesh Gill, Darshan Jariwala, Ninad Kamat, Mrunal Jain and Herry Tangri. Directed by Ajay K Pannalal, the film has been penned by Vinit Vyas. Made on a budget of Rs 15 crores, it has been produced jointly by Tony D'souza, Amul Vikas Mohan and Nitin Upadhyaya under the banner OddBall Motion Pictures.

The music for Behen Teri Hogi features a bevy of talents including Rishi Rich, Jaidev Kumar, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Amjad-Nadeem, and Kaushik-Akash-Guddu (JAM8). Shamsher Singh has got behind the the camera for the film, with Deven Murudeshwar editing it.

Besides Behen Teri Hogi, Shruti also has her father Kamal Haasan’s bilingual film, Sabaash Naidu/Sabbash Kundu, lined up. This spy comedy and adventure film is being directed and produced by Kamal Haasan who also plays the lead role in it. Maestro Ilayaraja is composing music for this venture. Sabaash Naidu/Sabbash Kundu, which went into the shooting mode last year, is likely to hit the silver screens next year.
