The official word about Puneeth Rajkumar’s Anjaniputhra release date is finally here.
The film will be out at the theatres on December 21 to cash in on the long Christmas weekend. Directed by dance choreographer turned director A Harsha, the film has Puneeth Rajkumar playing the lead role.
Based on the Tamil film Poojai, which had Vishal in the lead role, the film has Puneeth Rajkumar and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead pair. Hari Priya will be making a special appearance in a song in this flick.
The star cast includes Ramya Krishnan, P. Ravishankar, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna, Mukesh Tiwari, Girish, V. Manohar, Shobharaj and Akhilendra Mishra as well.
The songs in the album, set to tunes by Ravi Basrur, have turned out to be big hits already and now fans are eagerly waiting to watch the film at the theatres. Swamy. J has cranked the camera for Anjaniputhra and Deepu S Kumar has done the editing. It may be noted here that Puneeth Rajkumar had rendered the number 1234 Shille Hodi for the album along with Chandan Shetty which happens to be its highlight.
During the audio launch event, music composer Ravi Basrur had said that he did not target a specific set of the audience and that the songs in the album would be loved by both the youth as well as the family audiences. While the story of the film has been penned by director Hari, the dialogues and screenplay are by A Harsha. Produced by M.N. Kumar under his banner MNK Movies in association with Jayashreedevi Productions, the film has been made on a budget of Rs. 27 crores.
Puneeth Rajkumar’s last outing Rajakumaraa, directed by Santhosh Ananddram, released to packed houses earlier this year and it is one of the biggest hits in the Kannada film industry.
