Rashmika Mandanna to star in Akhil Akkineni's next?

Rashmika Mandanna made her debut in the Kannada film industry with Kirik Party which turned out to be a huge box-office hit. Following this, she acted in the Kannada movies Anjani Putra and Chamak which were hits as well. This paved way for her entry into the Telugu film industry with Chalo and the actor established herself in Tollywood as well. 

There is no doubt that Rashmika Mandanna is turning out to be the most wanted heroines in the Telugu film industry. The actor has been delivering hits consecutively and therefore good roles have been moving her way in quick succession. According to latest reports, the actor is in talks to star in a film that will have Akhil Akkineni playing the lead role. The film will be produced by Bunny Vas who produced Geetha Govindam which had Rashmika playing the female lead. There are reports that it is a very meaty role and something that will be akin to her character in Geetha Govindam.

Bommarilu Bhaskar will be wielding the megaphone for this project. Touted to be a rom com, the film’s star cast and crew are expected to be revealed officially in a couple of weeks.

Rashmika is currently expecting the release of Dear Comrade in which she shares the screen space with Vijay Deverakonda. The film has reached the post production mode and is likely to hit the marquee in June this year. Directed by Bharat Kamma, Dear Comrade is reportedly inspired from the Mollywood movie Comrade in America. It had Dulquer Salman playing the lead role. Dear Comrade is being produced by Y. Naveen, Y. Ravi Shankar and C. V. Mohan under the banner Mythri Movie Makers.

She is also making her Tamil debut opposite Karthi in his next directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. This yet to be titled film is touted to be a complete action entertainer bankrolled by SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures. The film’s technical crew includes music by Vivek-Mervin, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Ruben.
