Rashmika Mandanna to pair opposite Sivakarthikeyan in Vignesh Shivn's next

Written by : Digital Native

It was only last week that it was officially announced that Sivakarthikeyan and Vignesh Shivn are all set to join hands for a project, which will be bankrolled by Lyca Production. Currently dubbed as SK 17, the project will mark the first time collaboration of Siva and Shivn, who have for long yearned to work together.

“Even before Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, I had narrated a different script to him. But at that time he was busy with Maan Karate and other films, and even I got busy with some other work. Now, I think everything is coming together,” Vignesh was quoted by Hindustan Times.

The latest update on the project is that Rashmika Mandanna has been approached with the offer to play the leading lady in the movie. The makers are yet to make an official announcement but reliable sources have already confirmed that Rashmika is most likely to come on board. She had recently signed her maiden Tamil film opposite Karthi, directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised but the makers last week confirmed that the film will released next year in July. Anirudh Ravichander has been finalised to compose music.

Sivakarthikeyan, who is currently shooting for a science-fiction film with director Ravi Kumar, also has a film with Irumbu Thirai’s filmmaker PS Mithran in his kitty. Recently, it was also announced that Siva will join hands with director Pandiraj for a new project under the production of Sun Pictures. Siva also awaits the release of his next film, Mr. Local, which co-stars Nayanthara and has been directed by Rajesh M.
