Rana represents 'Baahubali' at the Tokyo Comic Con

Rana Daggubati was at the Tokyo Comic Con representing Baahubali, the historical in which he played the iconic Bhallaldeva. Confirming his presence at the event, he tweeted: “At the opening ceremony of @TokyoComicCon, @RanaDaggubati representing the #Baahubali with grace as he addressed the fans. @Shobu_ #TokyoComicCon #Tokyo.”

Rana also paid his respects to the creator of Marvel universe, the legendary Stan Lee. The official twitter handle of Baahubali had this tweet and pictures: “@RanaDaggubati paying regards to the legendary Stan Lee, the creator of Marvel universe at @TokyoComicCon @Shobu_”

It may be noted here that Baahubali was released in Japan and there was a good response, with its collections at the box office crossing $1.5 million.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali: the Conclusion went on to collect Rs 1700 crore worldwide. The film was produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner Arka Media Works. A historical loaded with VFX, it is one of the costliest films to be made in the history of Indian cinema. The producers spent about Rs 450 crore jointly on Baahubali: the Beginning and Baahubali: the Conclusion.

Starring Prabhas in the title role, the film has Anushka Shetty, Tammannah, Ramya Krishnan, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Sudeep and others in the cast. MM Keeravani composed music for this venture. The film was released in various languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

Baahubali was not only a success at the box office but also won several prestigious awards including the Best Action Choreography, Best Special Effects and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 65th National Film Awards.

Rana, who played the baddie in the film, is currently busy with a slew of films including the NTR biopic in which he plays the current chief minister of Andhra, N Chandra Babu Naidu.
