Rana Daggubati presents 'C/o Kancharapalem'

Rana Daggubati, in a tweet, confirmed his support for the small budget film C/o Kancharapalem. Being the official presenter of the film, he revealed that it is the first ever Telugu film to make it to the New York Indian Film Festival.

In this regard, he had tweeted: “Congratulations to team #COKancharapalem, the first Telugu film to be selected for New York Indian Film Festival @nyindianff ! Proud to be presenting it.”

Produced by US-based Praveena Paruchuri, the film has been directed by Maha Venkatesh. The film’s unique title C/o Kancharapalem is derived from a well known locality in Vizag. Rana Daggubati may be a popular actor now, but he started out his career in the film industry as a producer. In 2004, he produced the film Bommalata, which went on to win the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. He made his acting debut with the Telugu film Leader in 2010 and won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South and CineMAA Award for Best Male Debut for his performance. He then starred in Hindi and Tamil films as well. 

Rana’s biggest success came with the magnum opus Baahubali, in which he played the menacing villain Bhallaladeva. His role in Nene Raju Nene Mantri and The Ghazi Attack have been well appreciated as well. Rana currently has a number of films in his kitty and will soon be making his debut in Mollywood with the historical Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma : The King of Travancore. His other films in the pipe line are the Tamil / Telugu bilingual Madai Thiranthu / 1945, Enai Nokki Payum Thotta and the Telugu / Hindi bilingual Haathi Mere Saathi
