Raghavendra Rajkumar will be staging a comeback with the Kannada movie Ammana Manein which he will be playing a character who is a lot like himself in real life.

The much-awaited first look poster of the film was out recently and the star looked stunning with a brand new hairdo. This has upped the expectation levels for Ammana Mane. In the film, he will be seen playing a family man.

The film’s official puja was held on August 15 and is expected to hit the silver screens early next year. Nikhil Manju is wielding the megaphone for this venture. Ammana Mane will be a multi starrer and the director is in talks with a few other heroes to play important roles in it. Recently  B Jayashree and theatre artiste Manasi Sudhir have joined the cast, with Jayashree playing Raghanna's mother in the film.

On the film, the director had told in an interview to the Indian Express earlier: “It is a family drama, which looks at work, life and family balance. In his role, Raghavendra Rajkumar has to play the role of a man who has to finely balance his work pressure and keep his family happy.”

Raghavendra Rajkumar, the son of legendary thespian Rajkumar and brother of superstars Shiva Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar, made his acting debut as a child artiste. After donning the greasepaint in a few films as hero, he decided to take a break from acting in 2004. His last film as hero was Pakkadmane Hudugi. He later turned producer by bankrolling films such as Jackie, Anna Bond and Yaare Koogadali.

It may be mentioned here that initially it was announced that the star would make his comeback with Manoranjan’s Chillum in which he was supposed to play a negative role. However, on his fans insisting that his comeback shouldn’t be with a negative role, he opted out of the film and the role went to the Tollywood actor Jagapathy Babu.
