Raashi Khanna to star opposite Allu Arjun in 'Icon'?

On Allu Arjun’s birthday this year, it was announced that his next film is titled Icon with the tagline ‘Kanapadutaledu’. The first look poster of the film showed Allu Arjun riding a bike and we hear that the story revolves around this bike. Reports are that this bike gets stolen and Allu Arjun tries to file a police complaint to no avail. What happens next forms the crux of Icon. When the film was announced, there were reports of it being inspired by the Filipino film Kita Kita but that has been quashed. Icon will be directed by Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. The director is currently working on the script and is expected to take the project on to the floors later this year.

According to the latest reports, Raashi Khanna is in the fray to play the female lead in this flick. The director has approached the actor for her dates and she is expected to join the star cast officially. More details about this project are expected to be out soon.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Allu Arjun’s next film with Trivikram Srinivas did commence some months ago. The film is being bankrolled jointly by Allu Aravind and S Radha Krishna under the banners Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations respectively. The technical crew of this film includes S Thaman for music, PS Vinod for cinematography and Naveen Nooli for editing. Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the female lead in AA19.

Allu Arjun and Trivikram Srinivas had worked together in Julai in 2012 and S/O Satyamurthy in 2015 and with AA19 being their third film together, fans are expecting a hat trick from the duo. Apart from these films, Allu Arjun also has the Sukumar directorial in his kitty.
