Raashi Khaana likely to star with Vishal in 'Temper' Tamil remake

Written by : Digital Native

It was reported last year that Vishal will star in the Tamil remake of NTR’s Telugu blockbuster Temper, which was helmed by Puri Jagannadh.

Ever since the announcement, there’s been no development with respect to the project.

On Thursday, reports emerged that Raashi Khanna is most likely going to team up with Vishal in the film, which will be directed by Venkat Mohan, an erstwhile associate of AR Murugadoss.

While Sam CS is on board for the music, Light House Movie Makers will produce this film. If she comes on board, this will be Raashi's third Tamil outing after the Siddharth-starrer Shaitan Ka Bachcha and Imaikka Nodigal which starred Nayanthara.

In an interaction with media last year, ahead of the release of Thupparivaalan, Vishal confirmed he will be starring in the Tamil remake of Temper, but will work on the film only after he finished shooting for Sandakozhi 2 and Irumbuthirai. The role was originally supposed to be done by Simbu.

Having completed both the projects, Vishal is now expected to commence work on this remake from June.

NTR played a foul-mouthed cop with no morals in Temper. Kajal Aggarwal was also in a pivotal role, while Prakash Raj played the antagonist.

Temper is also being remade in Hindi as Simmba with Ranveer Singh in the lead. Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara will make her acting debut in the remake, which will be a Karan Johar directorial.

The project may see Vishal undergoing a physical transformation for the role - he is expected to shed weight and build a muscular frame to essay the character.

The project will be bankrolled by Vishal Film Factory and the makers are currently busy finalising the cast and crew.

Vishal, last seen on screen in Thupparivaalan, has also confirmed that he will produce another film with Mysskin and it might happen next year. Rumours has it that the duo is most likely to team up for the sequel to Thupparivaalan.
