‘Queen’ actor Saniya Iyappan roped in for Mohanlal-Prithviraj’s ‘Lucifer’

Saniya Iyappan shot to instant fame with her debut film Queen. The Malayalam film went on to become a huge hit and Saniya soon became one of the most wanted actors in the industry. She is being flooded with some of the best offers and according to the latest reports Saniya has bagged a role in Prithviraj’s debut directorial titled Lucifer. The actor will be playing Mohanlal’s daughter in the film, we hear.

While Saniya’s role is said to be meaty and performance-oriented, fans are hoping more details will be revealed soon. Yet another news doing the rounds is that Tovino Thomas is also onboard and that he will be playing the villain. There is also a buzz that Indrajith will be seen in an important role. Reports say that Prithviraj is still in the process of assembling his star cast and an official confirmation regarding it will be out soon.

It may be mentioned here that Queen is one of the biggest hits this year. Released on January 12, the film was directed by Dijo Jose Antony and produced by Shibu K Moideen, Rinshad V, and TR Shamsudheen under the banner Arabian Dreams Entertainments.

In the film, Saniya plays a student who joins an engineering college only to find herself the sole woman student in the mechanical engineering batch. The film also starred Dhruvan, Ashwin Jose, Eldho Mathew and Arun H Das in pivotal roles.

With Saniya bagging the role in Lucifer under Prithviraj’s direction and getting a chance to share screen space with Mohanlal early in her career, she is upbeat and looking forward to joining the sets. The shooting of this film is expected to begin in a couple of months and the groundwork for it is on.
