The Power Star of Sandalwood, Puneeth Rajkumar, did not have a single film release this year, barring Humble Politician Nograj, in which he only made a cameo appearance as himself. This certainly had his hardcore fans disappointed as they were eager to see him on the silver screen. But there is good news for all Puneeth fans out there! The star will begin year 2019 with the release of his Natasaarvabhowma. This film is scheduled for release on the Republic Day weekend, say sources in the know. Natasaarvabhowma was initially planned for release during December end this year but has been scheduled for an early 2019 release now.

The film is directed by Pavan Wadeyar and is bankrolled by Rockline Venkatesh under his banner Rockline Productions. D Imman is composing the music for this flick while the camera is being handled by Vaidhi, and Tollywood dance master Jani has been roped in for choreography. The film will have two women leads – Rachita Ram and Anupama Parameswaran. Incidentally, Natasaarvabhowma will mark the latter’s debut in the Kannada film industry. The rest of the star cast includes Ravi Shankar, veteran actor Saroja Devi and Chikanna in supporting roles.

It may be mentioned here that Puneeth’s dad, the legendary actor Rajkumar, was honoured with the title ‘Natasaarvabhowma’ and he had also acted in a film with the same title. Puneeth had said in an interview earlier that this made him both excited as well as nervous to work on the project and that he would strive to give it his best.

Director Pavan Wadeyar made his debut as director with the Kannada film Govindaya Namaha in 2012 and has directed films such as Potugadu (Telugu), Googly, Rana Vikrama, Jessie and Nataraja Service. For his first movie, Pavan went on to win the SIIMA award for Best Debut Director.
