Written by : Digital Native

The song ‘Ramayanakatte’ from the movie Abhimanyu was one of the most popular songs of the early 1990s starring Mohanlal. A Times of India report said that this song is now all set to be recreated for the movie Ka. Actor Priya Prakash Varrier and actor-dancer Neeraj Madhav will be seen shaking legs for it. The music for this remixed version of the song has been done by Jakes Bejoy.

The film is directed by Rajeeshlal Vamsha. According to reports, Priya is not the heroine in Ka and will be seen only in this remix song.

It may be noted here that the original version of the song ‘Ramayanakatte’ in Abhimanyu was composed by the late musician Raveendran and its lyrics penned by Kaithapram. The song was rendered by MG Sreekumar and KS Chithra.

Abhimanyu, which had hit the marquee in the year 1991, was a crime drama that was directed by Priyadarshan and written by T Damodaran. The film starred Mohanlal, Geetha, and Shankar in the lead roles.

Neeraj Madhav, meanwhile, will be doing a cameo act in Mammootty starrer Maamaankam. He has posted a short video of doing a Kalaripayattu stunt for the film, which is a periodical that revolves around the life of the warriors known as Chaaverukal, who plot against the Zamorin to overthrow them.

Priya Varrier, who shot to fame with her wink in her debut movie Oru Adaar Love, has recently sung a song in the movie Finals, with Naresh Iyer. The song ‘Nee Mazhavillu Polen’ is composed by Kailas Menon. Priya is also gearing up for her Tollywood acting debut. She has been roped in for Nithiin's upcoming movie to be directed by Chandrashekar Yeleti. Before this she made her Bollywood debut with the film Sridevi Bungalow that is yet to release. She also has another film titled Love Hackers in her kitty, a crime thriller directed by Mayank Prakash Srivastava.
