Priya Prakash Varrier turns singer, croons song for upcoming sports drama

Priya Prakash Varrier, who shot into the limelight with her wink in her debut Malayalam movie Oru Adaar Love, has crooned a song along with singer Naresh Iyer for Rajisha Vijayan's upcoming sports drama Finals. Titled Nee Mazhavillu Pole, the song has been composed by Kailas Menon and the lyrics have been penned by Sreerekha Bhaskaran.

The teaser of the song was released recently. Priya posted the teaser on her Instagram handle and wrote, “I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful response to my first attempt! Written and directed by debutant Arun PR, the film stars Rajisha who will be seen playing a cyclist training to compete for the Olympics 2020. The movie also stars Sooraj Venjaramoodu, who will play her father. Finals is jointly produced by Maniyanpilla Raju and Prajeev S.

Meanwhile, Priya is also gearing up for her Tollywood debut. She has been roped in for Nithiin's upcoming movie to be directed by Chandrashekar Yeleti. The muhurat took place recently. Nithiin took to twitter to announce the project and said, “#Nithiin28 muhurtham done.. super excited to work with Yeleti Chandrashekar garu..this film is goin to b Special!! @Rakulpreet? finallyyy workin together #priyaprakashvarrier plays d other lead, produced by bhavya anand prasad garu n music by ?@mmkeeravaani? garu (sic).” The filmmakers are yet to disclose details about the shooting schedules.

Meanwhile, Priya awaits the release of her Bollywood debut film Sridevi Bungalow. The trailer of this film was unveiled recently and was the centre of controversy for some time. Besides Sridevi Bungalow, Priya also has another film titled Love Hackers in her kitty. It is a crime thriller directed by Mayank Prakash Srivastava. This film will be shot across various locations in Gurugram, Delhi, Lucknow, and Mumbai.
