Written by : Digital Native

When Prithviraj Sukumaran made an announcement through his social media handle that an important development is on the cards, it was enough to have his fans excited. What made it even more interesting is the words in the poster ‘after six years…’ which sparked off several speculations. And to add to the curiosity levels, director Shaji Kailas also put out the same poster. Interestingly, Prithivraj and Shaji Kailas had teamed up for Simhasanam in 2012. This possibly means, Prithviraj and Shaji Kailas will be collaborating again.

Simhasanam starred Prithviraj, Vandana Menon and Aishwarya Devan in lead roles. Its technical crew includes Roni Raphael and Rajamani for music, Shaji, Saravanan and Vishnu Namboothiri for cinematography and Don Max for editing.

Prithviraj is currently busy with Driving License, Aadujeevitham and Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Driving License is helmed by Jean Paul Lal alias Lal Jr. Prithviraj is bankrolling the project under his home banner Prithviraj Productions in association with Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames. Incidentally, the script for Driving License is penned by Sachy. Touted to be a thorough commercial entertainer, Driving License is about a superstar crazy about luxury cars. The technical crew of this film includes Ranadive for wielding the camera and Sushin Shyam to compose the tunes.

Ayyappanum Koshiyum will have Prithviraj and Biju Menon playing the title roles. We hear that Biju Menon will be playing the character Ayappan Nair, a police constable, and Prithviraj will be seen as a retired army havildar Koshy Kurien, who had put in 16 years of service.

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amala Paul play the lead pair in Aadujeevitham with Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Santhosh Keezhattoor and Lena in supporting roles.  The film’s technical crew includes Resul Pookutty for sound designing, K. U. Mohanan for cinematography and Raja Muhammed for editing. Aadujeevitham will bring the Oscar winning music director AR Rahman back into the Malayalam film industry. It is being bankrolled by K. G. Abraham under the banner KGA Films.
