The official teaser of the upcoming Malayalam movie Brother’s Day is out and it looks like the film is a commercial entertainer in every way. Expectations are high on this film as it will mark the debut of actor Kalabhavan Shahjohn as director.

The teaser shows Prithvi mimicking Prem Nazir in a song, and then wearing a suit and saying, “I just have the looks, I am an oola (useless person).”

Listin Stephen is bankrolling the film under his banner Magic Frames on a budget of Rs 15 crore. Prithviraj plays the male lead in the film. Miya George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prayaga Rose Martin and Aima Rosmy Sebastian have been roped in to play the female leads in this film.

It may be noted here that the first look poster of this film was revealed a couple of months. In the poster, the lead star Prithviraj is seen sporting a beard and leaning on a Royal Enfield bike with a wide grin on his face.

The camera work for Brother’s Day is done by Jithu Damodar and songs are composed by Nadirshah with the background score done by 4 Musics. Reports are that Brother’s Day is gearing up for Onam release this year.

Besides Brother’s Day, Prithviraj also has in his kitty, Aadujeevitham, a film that is directed by Blessy. It will be an adaptation of the novel by the same name, written by Benyamin, based on the real life story of the slave-like existence of a Gulf Malayali. The film’s technical crew includes Resul Pookutty for sound designing, KU Mohanan for cinematography and Raja Muhammed for editing. Aadujeevitham will bring back Oscar winning music director AR Rahman back into the Malayalam film industry, after 27 years. The film is being bankrolled by KG Abraham under the banner KGA Films.

Another film that Prithviraj is currently associated with is Driving License, which is helmed by Jean Paul Lal. We hear that Prithvi will play a car-crazy superstar. This film will be produced by Prithviraj under his home banner.
