Pranav Mohanlal reportedly injured his finger while shooting for Aadhi recently following which the shooting was delayed. The film’s director Jeethu Joseph said that the young actor had a bruise on his fingers and the doctors advised him a couple of days’ rest.

The director added that since the scenes to be shot with Pranav involved a lot of hand and finger movements, they decided to stop the shooting. He has been quoted by the Times of India as saying: “While shooting an action scene, his finger was bruised. He was bleeding and we took him to the hospital. He had two stitches and the doctor advised him to take rest for two days. Also, the upcoming scenes have a lot of hand movements, so we thought it best the rest.”

He also went on to explain that the accident happened while they were shooting in Kochi and were almost wrapping up that schedule. The team was ready to move over to Hyderabad for the next schedule but they had permission to shoot there only during the weekends following which it was decided to postpone the shooting the following week.

In Aadhi, Pranav plays an aspiring musician. The star cast also includes Siddique, Sharafudheen, Siju Wilson, Aditi Ravi, Anusree, Lena and Tony Luke. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas, the film will be distributed by Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments. Anil Johnson is scoring the music for this flick with Satheesh Kurup cranking the camera and Ayoob Khan editing it.

Expectations are high on Aadhi as it will mark the debut of Mohanlal’s son Pranav as a hero. The youngster made his acting debut as a child artiste in 2002 with Onnaman and won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist for the film Punarjani.

Pranav has also worked as an assistant director in Papanasam and Life of Josutty which were directed by Jeethu Joseph.
