Prabhudheva plays a stunt master in Yung Mang Sung

Written by : TNM

Actor-choreographer-filmmaker Prabhudheva has his hands full with a bevy of projects and these include his upcoming Tamil directorial Karuppu Raja Vella Raja. He is currently shooting for Tamil film Yung Mang Sung, which also stars Lakshmi Menon as his pair. In the film, he will be seen as a stunt master and he is going to learn Kung Fu, according to director MS Arjun.

In his interview to Deccan Chronicle, he said, “It is a period film set in 1987 and on the lines of several martial arts films starring Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. And with lot of local flavour and loads of comedy.”

The film also stars RJ Balaji and Ashwin in important roles. Talking about Prabhudheva’s role, Arjun said, “The story is about how the trio goes to China, especially to learn the Shaolin form of Kung Fu — so that back home, they can take revenge on their enemies. There’s a suspense element to it! Prabhudheva sir’s flair for comedy is a known fact. The movie also has an emotional segment towards the end, and Prabhu has simply done a great job. Again, without his quirky dance numbers, the film is incomplete. The opening song in Amrish’s composition has come out exceptionally well.”

The team will travel to China in the coming months where Prabhudheva and others will get trained in Kung Fu from real masters. Lakshmi Menon plays a Bharatanatyam dancer while Baahubali fame Prabhakar will play the antagonist.
