Prabhas' 'Saaho' gets rolling as actor joins sets of film

Written by : TNM

After much speculation, Prabhas’ starrer Saaho went on the floors recently.

The actor has joined the film set and experienced a warm welcome from the team. A massive set that cost the producers about Rs. 5 crore has been erected where some important scenes will be shot, say sources.

After this schedule is wrapped up, the Saaho team will be moving over to Mumbai in September where the next schedule would commence.

Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho is bankrolled by Pramod Uppalapati and Vamsi Krishna Reddy under the banner UV Creations.

Music director trio Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy will be composing the tunes for this magnum opus. With Prabhas playing the lead role, the film will have the Bollywood star Neil Nitin Mukesh as the villain.

Reports suggest that Shraddha Kapoor will be pairing up with Prabhas in the film. To be shot extensively in various parts of the world, Saaho is a high budget movie made on a budget of about Rs. 150 crore.

It may be mentioned here that Anushka, Prabhas’ leading lady in Baahubali was initially approached to play his lead pair in Saaho as well but she turned down the offer citing date issues. Following this, Shraddha Kapoor went on to bag the role.

Makers of the film are planning to release it in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam as well.

While the film’s shooting is still in the very initial stages, there is a strong competition for its streaming right, satellite rights etc.

Having spent the last five years of his career playing Baahubali, it will be a welcome change to see Prabhas in a different avatar in Saaho.
