Saaho, Prabhas’ upcoming Telugu flick, is easily one of the most anticipated films of the year as it marks Prabhas' entry after the mammoth success of the Baahubali series.

Prabhas’ stunt sequences in the film have been shot extensively in Dubai, spending a huge chunk of the movie’s estimated budget. Reports are that the producers have shelled out Rs 90 crore for the action sequences. Hollywood stunt director Kenny Bates has choreographed the stunts for Saaho and it will be one of its kind in the Indian film industry, say sources.

Sources told DC, “Kenny Bates was awestruck by Prabhas’ commitment. He fell in love with the actor’s attitude when it came down to pushing the envelope for action scenes. The film’s chase-sequences will blow the audience away.”

For those asking about the progress of Saaho, we have it that the film has reached the last leg of shooting. Sources in the know say that three songs and an action sequence are all that needs to be canned now.

Saaho, directed by Sujeeth, is bankrolled by V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film’s star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing the screen space with him as his heroine is Shraddha Kapoor.

The film would be a bigger project than the actor’s last venture Baahubali in terms of budget and VFX. Saaho will get into record books for having the maximum number of VFX scenes ever filmed. The technical crew of this film includes Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy for composing music with R Madhi cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing. Reports are that the makers of Saaho are keen on having it released on August 15 this year and an official announcement regarding this will be out at the appropriate time.

The film’s pre-release business has begun already and is progressing with good deals.
