Written by : TNM

Ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is one of the proud owners of the Premier Badminton League franchise Bengaluru Blasters. The other owners of the team are Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Allu Aravind, and businessman Nimmagadda Prasad. They have formed a consortium to own the team.

Firstpost  reported Nimmagadda Prasad as saying: “Sachin, Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna and All Aravind, besides myself – all of us have formed a consortium and invested in Bengaluru Blasters.”

Interestingly, the same consortium owns the Kerala Blasters, which is a franchise of the Indian Super League football tournament.

On Sachin’s inclusion, National Badminton coach Pullela Gopichand said that his presence would boost the morale of the players and bring in more people.

Firstpost reported Sachin as saying: “Badminton is the epitome of fitness, flexibility, agility and skill and its adoption will contribute to India’s path to fitness. I’m excited to be part of Bengaluru Blasters team and wish them the very best for the upcoming season.”
