Kannada star Ganesh’s upcoming film Geetha is directed by debutant Vijay Nagendra, who was an associate of director Santhosh Ananddram. The film has three heroines in the star cast – Prayaga Martin, Parvathy Arun and Shanvi Srivastava. The film is jointly bankrolled by Golden Films and producer Syed Salam. The technical crew of this film includes Anup Rubens for music and Sreesha Kuduvalli for cinematography with Jnaanesh B Matad doing the edits.

Recently, a song from the film’s album, Party Maadu, rendered by Shashank Sheshagiri and featuring Ganesh was released online and is going viral among movie buffs. Ganesh is seen sporting a black leather jacket, dancing and having fun in a pub, with Prayaga Martin enjoying the foot-tapping number.

The first single from the album, Kannadiga, penned by Santhosh Ananddram and sung by Puneeth Rajkumar had also gone on to become a big hit among the masses. The album has two other songs, Helade Kelade rendered by Rajesh Krishnan and Ananya Bhat, and the title track Geetha Nannu Geetha sung by Sonu Nigam. Geetha is currently in the post-production mode with its release date set for this Friday.

Besides Geetha, Ganesh has Gimmick in his kitty. Touted to be a horror-comedy, it is directed by Naganna. Gimmick is bankrolled by Deepak Sami under his banner Sami Pictures. The flick will mark Ronica Singh’s debut in the Kannada film industry. Also starring in supporting roles in this film are Ravi Shankar Gowda, Sadhu Kokila, Shobhraj and Sundar Raj.

The technical crew of Gimmick comprises Arjun Janya for scoring music and Ravi Varma for choreographing the stunts. With the film’s shooting wrapped up, the post production is happening full swing. It may be noted here that Gimmick is Ganesh’s first attempt at a horror comedy and his fans are waiting eagerly to see the outcome.
