Following the smash hit “Kabali”, filmmaker Pa.Ranjith is hard at work on another yet-untitled Tamil project with Superstar Rajinikanth. The film is being bankrolled by actor Dhanush under the banner of Wunderbar Films.

It is believed that Ranjith is currently busy finalising the script in Mumbai. He is reportedly working on the film outside Chennai to avoid the persistent media glare, following a suggestion that came from Dhanush.

“Ranjith and his team of assistants have already started working on the script. Unlike “Kabali”, this is going to be a very commercial film filled with tropes every Rajinikanth fan looks forward to. The script discussion work is happening in Mumbai, reportedly in Dhanush’s apartment. The pre-production is expected to begin from early next year and the project is slated to go on the floors in the second half of next year,” a source said.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will finish shooting his portion for Shankar’s “2.0”, in which he plays triple roles, and will take on Akshay Kumar, as the antagonist.
