Now, you can take a virtual selfie with Rana and Kajal thanks to Augmented Reality

Rana Daggubati and Kajal Agarwal’s fans will be in for a new experience with the release of their upcoming film, Nene Raju Nene Mantri motion poster. The makers of the film have made use of the modern 3D Augmented Reality (AR) motion poster which would enable fans to take virtual selfies with both Rana Daggubati as well as Kajal Agarwal. This can be done with the Appstar app, it has been revealed.

Tweeting about it, Rana Daggubati posted, “Guys some serious technological breakthrough in terms of storytelling and advertising. Will connect with full details by 6pm today! #NRNM.” And he went on to tweet, “For all the times I couldn't take picture with you guys!! Technology will now bring us close.”

John Paoletto, Head of Design Avantari, who was responsible for creating this AR for the film in a press statement pointed out, “It’s a complete new experience for the movie audience and we are hopeful it will be equally exciting for everyone around the world.”

Fans can either download the Appstar on iOS or Android to experience this or can pose for photos with the AR standees that can be found in more than 700 theatres.

Suresh Babu, the co-producer of the film, said, “This application is a nice way to introduce Augmented Reality to the masses; AR has lot of benefits in education, entertainment, gaming and marketing.”

Nene Raju Nene Mantri, directed by Teja, stars Rana and Kajal as the lead pair with Catherine Tresa, Navdeep, Ashutosh Rana and Shivaji Raja in the star cast. Anoop Rubens has composed music for this film with Venkat C. Dileep cranking the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao editing it. Presented by D Suresh Babu, and produced by Kiran Reddy and Bharath Chowdary under the banners Suresh Productions and Blue Planet Entertainments, the film is due to hit the silver screens on August 11.
