Actor Mohanlal joined the sets of Ittymaani: Made in China recently and the shooting is progressing briskly. Recently, a picture from the film, showing the actor wink, made it online and it is going viral for obvious reasons. In what appears to be a church gathering, we also get to see veteran actor Radikaa Sarathkumar in the background. It was last year that new actor Priya Prakash Varrier became so popular after the picture of her winking in a song went quite viral.
Ittymaani: Made in China is being directed by debutant directors Jibi and Joju and bankrolled by Anthony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas. The title poster of the film was unveiled some time ago and it featured a laughing Buddha, indicating that it will be a comic caper. Speaking about the film, one its directors, Joju told in an interview earlier, “It’s a total fun movie that would remind the audience of Lalettan’s yesteryear superhits such as Vellanakalude Naadu, Chithram and Kilukkam.”
Mohanlal and Radikaa have earlier acted together in the 1985 film Koodum Thedi.
It may be noted here that Mohanlal has completed shooting for the magnum opus Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, directed by Priyadarshan. Made on a budget of Rs 100 crore, the film is produced jointly by Antony Perumbavoor, Santhosh T Kuruvilla and CJ Roy under their respective banners Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment. The film is based on the true life of Kunjali Marakkar IV. It will have extensive sea warfare sequences which will be its highlight. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Tirru and editor MS Ayyappan Nair.

Recently, there was an announcement that Mohanlal will soon don the director’s robes as well. The star has decided to helm the ambitious project Barroz.
