Now, Baahubali actor Prabhas to get wax statue at Madame Tussauds

Telugu actor Prabhas will soon join the likes of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a new wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Bangkok by 2017.

After PM Narendra Modi’s wax statue that was installed in April 2016, Prabhas would be the third Indian personality who will stand tall at the museum, a press release stated.

“Prabhas is definitely in the spotlight,” commented Noppadon Prapimpunt, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Bangkok. 

Prabahas gained global recognition with 'Baahubali: The Beginning (2015)', which became one of the highest grossing Indian films of all time. 

Stating that the creation of his figure was highly requested by his fans around the world, the press release adds: 

"Prabhas underwent a sitting in Hyderabad with Madame Tussauds artists, where 350 photos and measurements were taken of the star to enable a truly flawless re-creation of his likeness. He will be depicted as his character Amarendra Baahubali and will be seen in his battle armor at Madame Tussauds Bangkok. Prabhas who turned into a national star after the release of the film carries a huge fanbase and popularity amongst the audiences!"

Meanwhile, Prabhas expressed his happiness to have been selected and said he was grateful to his fans and their unconditional love and support. He also thanked director S S Rajamouli.

Madame Tussauds Bangkok is located on the fourth floor of Siam Discovery in Bangkok and Prabhas’ statue is expected to be unveiled by March 2017.
