Nothing to spit at: ‘Thupramani, thupadhanee’, a Tamil song that asks you to stop spitting in public places

Written by : TNM Staff

You’ve heard of the soup song, now here’s the spit song. “Thupramani”, composed, written, choreographed, sung and directed by Archith, is about spitting in public places and why you should stop doing that right now.

The single, with the “Thupramani, thupaadhanee” (Thupramani - people who spit; thupaadhanee – don’t spit) refrain is catchy and shows people spitting anywhere and everywhere and leaving behind their disgusting “signature”.

The song entreats folks, men and women, rich and poor, to give up the habit and keep their surroundings clean.

And there’s nothing boring or preachy about it. Watch:
