Written by : Digital Native

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming film, Nine turned out to be one of the most anticipated films of the film year ever since it was announced. The film, which went on to the floors on April 9th, is being directed by Jenuse Mohammad and bankrolled by Prithviraj’s home banner Prithviraj Productions in association with SPE Films India. Its distribution rights have already been bagged by Sony Pictures.

Nine garnered the attention of the film buffs in a big way with the release of the first look poster, which featured Prithviraj, on March 23rd. And then the team came up with an astounding motion poster on May 12th which had the fans go in awe completely.

Later, on the 20th of the same month, the Nine team released a poster featuring one of the characters in the film and through it, it was evident that Wamiqa Gabbi will be playing a pivotal role in Nine. According to the poster, her character is named Eva and going by what we see, it looks like she will be playing a role shrouded in mystery. And now, another poster from the Nine team reveals that Mamta Mohandas will be playing a meaty role in the film. Her character is named Annie.

Despite the film going on to the floors a couple of months ago, the team remains tight lipped about the storyline. Even the poster released so far does not give a clear indication on what Nine is about. Music for the songs in the movie will be composed by Shaan Rahman while the background score will be done by Sekhar Menon. Abinandhan Ramanujam is cranking the camera for this venture while Shameer Mohammed is the editor.

The shooting of this science fiction thriller is underway and is likely to hit the silver screens later this year.
