The online streaming sites Netflix and Amazon are reportedly vying to grab the rights of Prabhas’ upcoming film Saaho. All this, despite the film being in its very initial stages.

According to the buzz doing the rounds, Netflix has reportedly offered about Rs. 50 crore for the rights, while Amazon is also in the race to procure the rights for all three languages.

Saaho will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

Expectations are high on this flick as it has the Baahubali star playing the lead role and it is being made on a high budget.

Bankrolled by Pramod Uppalapati and Vamsi Krishna Reddy under the banner UV Creations, Saaho’s budget is said to be around Rs. 150 crore.

Sujeeth is wielding the megaphone for the project and musician trio Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy is composing tunes for it. Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has been signed up to play the villain.

While it was earlier speculated that Anushka, Prabhas’ onscreen pair in Baahubali, would be sharing the screen space with him in this flick as well, it has been confirmed that she had turned the offer down, due to prior commitments.

Reports suggest that Sharaddha Kapoor or Pooja Hegde may be roped in for the role but there is no official word on it yet.

With the online streaming sites competing to lay their hands on the film, the expectation levels have sky-rocketed.

Moreover, Prabhas had been busy with the Baahubali project for around five years and did not take up any new assignment in this period, diverting his full attention to the magnum opus.
