The shooting of Nani’s upcoming film Gang Leader is progressing well with the shooting happening full swing. Ever since it was announced that the film is titled Gang Leader, netizens, particularly mega star Chiranjeevi’s fans, have been discussing the suitability of the title for a Nani starrer – a super hit film by the same name was released in 1991 with Chiranjeevi in the lead. Due to this, fans argue that the title Gang Leader should have been used for Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja’s film.

Despite a big round of discussion around this going on in social media forums, looks like the makers of Nani’s film will be retaining the title. Of course, Nani’s fans are happy over the title announcement and are waiting eagerly for more news on this Vikram Kumar directorial.

Reports are that the third schedule of Gang Leader is currently happening at Shamshabad from May 14. We hear that the filmmakers are planning to complete the entire schedule by June 30. August 30 has been locked as the release date.

The film is being produced under the banner Mythri Movie Makers and Anirudh is composing the music.

Nani’s last film release was the sports drama, Jersey. It was bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments and helmed by director Gowtam Tinnanuri.

Jersey also had Anirudh composing the tunes, with Navin Nooli in charge of the editing and Sanu Varghese on cinematography. It had Nani and Shraddha Srinath playing the lead pair with Sathyaraj, Brahmaji and Ronit Kamra in supporting roles. The film turned out to be a big hit at the Box Office.
