Nagendra Prasad’s ‘Google’ audio launch takes place in Bengaluru

Noted film personality, the multi-talented V Nagendra Prasad’s next outing at the theatres would be Google with the tagline ‘Yee Bhumi Bannada Buguri’. The film’s audio launch happened recently at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall in Bengaluru with Dr Ambareesh gracing the event and releasing the audio CD along with Hamsalekha. The number ‘Ganesha’ sung by Santosh Venki and Shashank Sheshagiri was lauded by those present at the event.

Heaping praises on the younger generation of music directors present at the venue, Hamsalekha said that Sridhar Sambram, V Manohar and Anoop Seelin are emerging as some of the best music composers in the Kannada film industry.

The event turned out to be a complete musical evening with Nagendra Prasad performing over 20 songs with top singers. The Google album comprises six songs and Nagendra Prasad has not only composed the tunes for it but also penned the lyrics for all the songs. Two songs from the album – Nalle Nalle and Jo Laali –  have been rendered by Abhijit Kollam.

Google stars Nagendra Prasad and Shubha Punja in the lead roles with Deepak, Amrutha Rao, Shobaraj, Muni included to the star cast. The film is produced by N. Sridhar and L. Ashwath Narayan under the banner Utsav Movies. The story, screenplay, and the dialogues have been penned by Nagendra Prasad. 

Nagendra Prasad began his career as an actor in 2002 with Romeo Juliet in which he played a supporting role. He went to score music for Ambi and Sishya in 2006. While his directorial debut was in 2004 with Nalla, he directed Ambi in 2006.

He is the winner of the Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Lyricist 2009-10 in Sathya and Best Lyricist 2015 for Muddu Manase. He also won the 62nd Filmfare Awards South for Best Lyricist 2015 – Kannada for Ambareesha.
