Director Ohmkar’s Raju Gari Gadhi, a horror comedy, was one of his biggest hits. The film was also released in Hindi under the title Raja Saheb Ka Kamra.

Following its immense success, the director managed to impress Nagarjuna, who agreed to star in the sequel. Raju Gari Gadhi 2 went on the floors in February this year and has been progressing steadily.

Now, Nagarjuna has revealed that the film will hit the silver screens on one of the spookiest dates ever --Friday the 13th.

Taking to Twitter, he said, “Very happy with what I saw of #RajuGariGadhi2 planning for a oct 13 release and it’s a Friday.”

While the prequel starred Ashwin Babu, Dhanya Balakrishna, Chethan Cheenu, Posani Krishna Murali, Dhanraj, Rajiv Kanakala and Vidyullekha Raman, the sequel has Nagarjuna Akkineni, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Seerat Kapoor included to the star cast.

It may be mentioned here that Samantha is getting ready to walk down the wedding aisle with Nagarjuna’s on Naga Chaitanya this October. The wedding is scheduled to take place in Goa.

According to the producers, Raju Gari Gadhi, which was released on October 16, 2015 turned out to be a massive success following which they decided to go ahead with an October release for the sequel as well.
