Naga Shaurya signs his next with debut director Lakshmi Sowjanya

Tollywood actor Naga Shaurya has inked a deal to star in a new film. It will be bankrolled by Sithara Entertainment and directed by debut director Lakshmi Sowjanya.

Confirming the project, it was announced on the official Twitter handle of the production house, “We are happy to announce our Production No.8 featuring @IamNagashaurya in the direction of debutant, @Lakshmi34167020. Cast & crew details will follow shortly. Regular shoot will commence from October! Releasing worldwide in May 2020. Stay tuned for more updates.@vamsi84.”

The preparation work to get this yet to be titled film is on and the shooting will begin next month, we hear. An official word about the film’s star cast and crew should be out soon. Plans are on to release this film for summer next year.

Naga Shaurya is currently busy with an untitled film directed by debutante Ramana Teja and produced by Usha Mulpuri under the banner of Ira Creations. Mehreen Pirzada has been roped in to play Naga Shaurya’s love interest in it with Sargun Kaur in an important role. The technical crew of this film includes Sricharan Pakala for music and Manoj Reddy for camerawork. He was recently in the news for the injuries sustained during the shoot of this film. The actor was shooting a high octane stunt sequence without opting for a body double and got hurt.

Naga Shaurya was last seen in the hit movie Oh! Baby starring Samantha as the protagonist. The film has turned out to be a box office success with positive reviews pouring in. Oh! Baby is the remake of the South Korean comedy-drama film that was directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. Samantha played the younger version and veteran actor Lakshmi played the senior version. The film was bankrolled by Sunita Tati under the banner People's Media Factory and Suresh Productions.
