Director Karthik Naren has confirmed that Naga Chaitanya has walked out of his upcoming Tamil film Naragasooran following call sheet issues.

The film’s shooting is all set to commence in August this year and the director is preparing the groundwork for it.

Confirming that Naga Chaitanya won’t be a part of Naragasooran, the director added that he is looking forward to work with the star in the future. Incidentally, Naga Chaitanya was to make his debut in Kollywood with this flick but that will have to wait for some more time.

According to reports, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for his wedding with Samantha in October and has decided to take a short break post wedding. He may have opted out of Naragasooran due to this, sources say.

Meanwhile, director Karthik Naren discussed the film with actor Sundeep Kishan, who is camping in Goa for an upcoming film, and has got his approval. Reportedly, Sundeep is excited over bagging the role and is looking forward to join the sets of the film, sources claim.

The Naragasooran team is on the look out for a female actor to pair up with Sundeep and are expected to sign up the leading lady shortly. The film has Arvind Samy playing a pivotal role with Shriya Saran and Indrajith Sukumaran also included in the star cast.

Director Karthik Naren shot to limelight with his debut flick Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, a crime thriller, that had Rahman playing the lead role with the rest in the star cast being newbies.

The film hit the silver screens late last year and received positive reviews. The director had revealed in an interview earlier that Dhruvangal Pathinaaru is set as a trilogy and Naragasooran will be the second in the thriller trilogy.
