Muthiah’s film with Suriya goes to Sasikumar

Written by : TNM

Director Muthiah is best known for rural-based films such as Komban and Marudhu. It wasn’t long ago that it was announced he will team up with Suriya for a yet-untitled project and Keerthy Suresh was confirmed as the leading lady.

The latest update is that the project won’t be made with Suriya and instead actor-filmmaker Sasikumar has been brought as his replacement. The duo had earlier worked together in the runaway hit, Kutti Puli, and the regular shooting will commence from March 25.

The film has been reportedly titled Kodi Veeran, and it will be produced by Sasikumar and will have music by Imman. The makers are yet to finalise the rest of the cast and crew. However, according to reliable sources, Lakshmi Menon is being considered but it’s too early to confirm anything. The team also has a few more options but they’re keeping the names under wraps for now.

Tipped to be another rural entertainer, the project will be completed in two months flat and the team is eyeing a summer release. Sasikumar will sport a new look for the film and he has already started getting ready for the get up.
