The shooting of the Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kannum Kannum Kolliyadithaal was completed some days ago and now we have info about the music director who has composed the tunes for it. The filmmakers have finally revealed that the popular music band from Kerala Masala Café have composed the tunes for Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal.

Incidentally, the music band had scored music for the Tamil film Uriyadi earlier and it went on to become a huge hit. On roping Masala Café for handling the music department in his film, director Desingh Periyawamy had told in an interview to the Times of India, “They are a popular band and had composed for Uriyadi but only their album songs were used in that film. This will be a first for them and for Tamil cinema that all the band members have worked on the music for the film. The film is a love story, so they’ve composed four songs.”

The post-production of Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal is currently on and its release date is being worked out. Written and directed by Desingh Periyaswamy, the film has Dulquer Salmaan and Ritu Varma playing the lead role. This rom-com also has Rakshan and Niranjani Ahathian in important roles. KM Bhaskaran is the cinematographer for this film.

This will be Dulquer's fourth straight Tamil film. The project went on the floors last November.  While Dulquer’s debut was with the Malayalam movie Second Show, his maiden venture in Kollywood was with Vai Moodi Pesavum, which was directed by Balaji Mohan. His second venture in Tamil was with the Mani Ratnam directorial OK Kanmani and he was last seen in Solo, a bilingual that was released in Malayalam as well as Tamil.

Dulquer’s last film release was the bilingual Mahanati/Nadigayar Thilagam, a biopic on the legendary actor Savitri. He played Gemini Ganesan in it.

Dulquer Salmaan’s next film release would be the Hindi movie Karwaan, which will mark his debut in Bollywood. The film is scheduled for release on August 3 and the star is busy promoting it. He is also due to join the sets of another Hindi movie, The Zoya Factor, which is based on a novel. Besides these films, he has signed three more Malayalam films to be directed by Mahesh Narayanan, BC Noufal and Srinath Rajendran.
