Mumbai police calls Dulquer a 'wierdo' over shoot video, actor hits back

Actor Dulquer Salmaan is working on his second Bollywood film The Zoya Factor along with Sonam Kapoor. But someone is not quite happy with how things are proceeding, and by that we mean none other than the Mumbai police!

Sonam Kapoor had recently shared a video from the shoot, which shows Dulquer in the driver's seat of a car, looking at his phone and not holding the steering wheel. At the end of the brief video, she calls Dulquer a "weirdo" and the latter shoots her a smile.

But the Mumbai police was not amused.

The official handle of the Mumbai police put out a tweet saying they agreed with Sonam, adding that Dulquer was indeed a "weirdo" for trying out such stunts and putting others at risk, even if it was only in "reel" life.

A stung Dulquer Salmaan responded with a video from the shoot which clearly shows that the car he was supposedly driving was actually rigged to a truck. Although some people said that the Mumbai police could not have known that he was not, in fact, driving the car and therefore shouldn't be blamed, the actor said that the Mumbai police was present throughout the shot and that they had helped the team obtain the necessary permissions for the shoot. He pointed out that the force should have checked the facts before putting out such a tweet.

Sonam Kapoor too put out a tweet, stating that the car was rigged to a truck. She also thanked the Mumbai police for their "concern" and said (perhaps sarcastically) that she knows they will be as interested in the lives of "regular folk" as well.

Not surprisingly, Dulquer's fans were quick to slam the Mumbai police's tweet.
