Following Malini Parthasarathy’s resignation as the Editor of The Hindu in January, the Board of Directors of Kasturi & Sons Ltd on Wednesday unanimously appointed Mukund Padmanabhan, the present Editor of Business Line, as the Editor of The Hindu.

The Business Line is the business paper of the group. Raghavan Srinivasan, presently senior associate editor of Business Line, will take charge as the editor of the business daily.

The Hindu in its report said that the appointments were made on the basis of the recommendation of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee of the KSL Board.

The News Minute in January had reported that Suresh Nambath, National Editor of The Hindu, was acting as the editor for the interim period.
