More star kids make debuts in Sandalwood and Kollywood

Several star kids have been carving a niche for themselves, following on the footsteps of their parents in the film industry. Dulquer Salmaan, Pranav Mohanlal, Kalidas Jayaram and others are making their mark in the industry. Now, there are two more names in the list. Ambareesh and Sumalatha’s son Abhishek is all set to debut in Sandalwood with Amar – which is in its post production stage now. And Vikram’s son Dhruv is also gearing up for his acting debut.

Recently, another star kid - Tej Raj, son of veteran actor Charan Raj - made his acting debut with the Tamil film 90ml. The movie hit the marquee on March 1. Written and directed by Anita Udeep, the film has been bankrolled by her under the banner Nviz Entertainment. Interestingly, the film’s music has been composed by actor Silambarasan. The first single ‘Marana Matta’, rendered by Oviya, was released on 31st December 2017. Aravind Krishna had cranked the camera for this venture with Anthony taking charge at the editing table.

The film has Oviya playing the lead role with Anson Paul, Masoom Shankar, Monisha Ram, Shree Gopika and Bommu Lakshmi in supporting roles.

With his entry into the Tamil film industry happening, Tej Raj is now all set for a big launch in Sandalwood. Meeting the media persons in Bengaluru recently, Tej Raj’s father Charan Raj said that he hoped his son will be accepted in different film industries just as he was. Details about his upcoming Kannada film are expected to be announced soon.

Tej Raj’s father Charan Raj is well known for his work in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam films such as Gentleman, Pratighatana, Indrudu Chandrudu and Kartavyam. He was part of Rajnikanth hits like Phool Bane Angaray, Veera, Dharma Dorai and Baasha.
