Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s last Bollywood release was the Ram Gopal Varma directorial Company. Nearly 15 years later, the actor has said that he is ready to work in a Hindi movie again and is looking forward to team up with Ram Gopal Varma.

The crime-thriller, which is said to have been inspired by the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s D-Company, went on to become a big hit. Apart from receiving positive reviews, the film went on to fetch seven Filmfare Awards and three IIFA Awards. It also turned out to be one of the highest grossers in 2002. Speaking about working with Mohanlal, director Ram Gopal Varma said that he is one of the finest actors that the Indian film industry has. Company, apart from Mohanlal,who had played the role Veerapalli Srinivasan IPS, starred Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi, Antara Mali, Seema Biswas and others.

With Mohanlal expressing his desire to work in a Bollywood film with RGV, his fans are waiting in anticipation about the project. However, sources in the trade say that the star has committed to a couple of high budget movies and will be busy with them for the next few months. Meanwhile, the star is busy with the B Unnikrishnan directorial Villain, the shooting of which is currently in progress in Kerala. In Villain, an action entertainer, Mohanlal plays an ex cop and will appear in two different get-ups. The film also stars Manju Warrier, Hansika Raashi Khanna, Vishal and others. In fact, the film will mark Raashi Khanna's and Vishal’s debut in the Malayalam film industry. Villain, made on a high budget, will be the first Indian film to be shot and released entirely in 8K resolution.
