Superstar Mohanlal posted a pic from his upcoming film, which had not been titled yet, and fans are now raving about it. The star, sporting a leather jacket with a shoulder bag, looks dashing. The film is touted to be a travel movie. The actor had worked hard to lose weight for one of his roles in Odiyan and he is maintaining the same for this film. Since the actor recently lost a lot of weight, everyone has been curious about his look in the new movie. Releasing the photo on Twitter, he wrote, “Morning friends, as you all know I’m currently in Mumbai shooting for my new film by Ajoy Varma. I’m thrilled to be playing the central character of this movie that is packed with a lot of action and adventure. Take a look at the first look poster of this action movie.”

The shooting of this film is currently happening in Mumbai. Soon after this schedule is done with, the team will continue the rest of the portions on Sri Lanka and Pune. Directed by Ajoy Varma, who will be making his debut in the Malayalam film industry, the film has been penned by Sajju Thomas. And it is bankrolled by Santhosh T Kuruvilla under his banner Moonshot Entertainments.

The film  will have its crew entirely from Bollywood. The crew comprise of cameraman Santhosh Thundiyil, who was the cinematographer of M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Jai Ho, Rowdy Rathore, etc, stunt master Sunil Rodriguez of Golmaal Again and Singham Returns fame and Serena Tixeria, who worked as the make up artiste in 3 Idiots and Dhoom.

While Parvathy Nair has been roped in to play the female lead in this flick, the star cast also includes Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dileesh Pothan and Sai Kumar to play significant roles. The shooting of this film is progressing at a brisk pace and its title is expected to be announced as the shooting progresses.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s Odiyan is also said to be in the final stages of production and its release date may be announced officially soon. Reports are that Odiyan is heading for a March/April release this year.
