On the death anniversary of film producer D Ramanaidu, actor Rana Daggubati shared an emotional post with his fans on Instagram, remembering his grandfather, the ace film producer in Tollywood and also the founder of the Ramanaidu studios. Rana lost his grandfather four years ago, who after a long battle with cancer, had passed away on 18 February 2015.

Rana, on Monday, shared a picture on Instagram of his younger self along with his grandfather holding him tightly to his chest and wrote, “You've left but your spirit holds us stronger and stronger every day!! MISS YOU Tatha #RamaNaiduDaggubati.”

Reacting to the post, a lot of Rana fans have paid tribute to the legendary producer and many have written how ‘tathas’ (grandfathers) are always the best.

Rana has always openly professed his love for his grandfather and in an interview to the TOI after Ramanaidu’s death, the actor had very emotionally recalled his grandfather’s spirit that held the family together.

“He taught me the value of discipline and punctuality... he was a living example of that. He was a methodical man and he stuck to the same schedule with clockwork precision all his life. He’d leave home at 9 am, return for lunch at 1 pm, rest for a couple of hours, and step out again at 4 pm. His day would end a little after 8 pm, post dinner. We were all in perfect sync with his timing. And we all imbibed this discipline into our own lives,” Rana had told.

Rana Daggubati will be next seen in Haathi Mere Saathi, a trilingual film directed by Prabhu Solomon. It is titled Kaadan in Tamil and Aranya in Telugu. Besides Rana Daggubati, it also has Zoya Hussain, Kalki Koechlin, Vishnu Vishal and Pulkit Samrat in the lead roles.

Apart from Haathi Mera Saathi, Rana will be also seen in Houseful 4 in Hindi and Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta in Tamil where he plays a cameo.
