Written by : Digital Native

Mammootty starrer Madhura Raja released to packed houses this Vishu and is doing well in the theatres. The most interesting factor about this film is its end card where the film ends with the title Minister Raja giving rise to speculations that there will be another sequel.

Given the fact that Mammootty emerges a winner in the elections in Madhura Raja, we can guess that Minister Raja will have him play a minister. Interestingly, Madhura Raja is the sequel to the hit movie Pokkiri Raja, which was released in 2010.

Both Pokkiri Raja and Madhura Raja have been directed by Vyasakh and there is a strong possibility that he will be wielding the megaphone for Minister Raja as well. The technical crew of Madhura Raja included Gopi Sunder for music, Shaji Kumar for cinematography and John Kutty for editing.

The rest of the star cast comprised Siddique, Aju Varghese, Anna Rajan, Anusree, Nedumudi Venu, Vijayaraghavan, Salim Kumar, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bala, Bijukuttan and Manikuttan. Sunny Leone was roped in for a special dance sequence and Tamil actor Jai made his debut in the Malayalam film industry. As action entertainer, the film was bankrolled by Nelson Ipe under his banner on a big budget.

Mammootty has had a good year so far with Peranbu and Yathra fetching his very good reviews and Madhura Raja will now join this list. The megastar is currently concentrating in Unda, which is gearing up as Eid release this year.

Written and directed by Khalid Rahman, the film is an action comedy that is bankrolled by Moviee Mill's Krishnan Sethukumar and Gemini Studios. The film has Mammootty in the lead role playing a police officer, with Shine Tom Chacko, Jacob Gregory, Arjun Ashokan and Omkar Das Manikpuri in supporting roles. The music of the film is by Prashant Pillai and the cinematography is handled by Jimshi Khalid and Sajith Purushan.
