Midhun Manuel Thomas and Jayasurya’s next is 'Turbo Peter'

Director Midhun Manuel Thomas and actor Jayasurya have a good track record at the box office with their films making impressive performances. They are now back together with Turbo Peter!

Announcing the film on Facebook, Jayasurya wrote:  “After ‘SHAJI PAPPAN’ Myself and Midhun Again .... ‘TURBO PETER’ (sic).”

Scripted and directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, the film will have Shaan Rahman composing the tunes.

Midhun and Jayasurya first teamed up for the 2015 hit movie Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu. The film was a massive success that paved the way for their next venture Aadu 2, which hit the marquee last year. When the duo team up for the third time, expectations seem pretty high.

It may be mentioned here that recently the director had announced a new project titled Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu, which will have Kalidas Jayaram and Aishwarya Lekshmi playing the lead pair. Besides Kalidas and Aishwarya, the film will also a bevy of newbies making their debut. On this football-based film, director Midhun Manuel Thomas had said earlier, “Not only Argentina fans, but all football fans will like the film.”

Afer his his directorial debut with Aadu, Midhun went on to don the director’s robes for films such as Ann Maria Kalippilaanu, Alamara, before he made the sequel for his first with Aadu 2.

Jayasurya’s last outing Njan Marykutty hit the theatres in Kerala on June 15th and had turned out to be quite a success. The actor won a lot of praise for his portrayal of a trans woman. Directed by Ranjith Shankar, the film has been bankrolled jointly by him and Jayasurya under the banner Dreams and Beyond. Both the director and the actor have reportedly done a lot of research, speaking to trans persons from across the state before the making of the film.
