Megha Akash teams up with Atharvaa, signs another film with Nithiin

Written by : Digital Native

Megha Akash had a dream debut in Telugu with Nithiin’s Lie, while for her maiden project in Tamil Enai Nokki Paayum Thota (ENPT), she was teamed up with Dhanush. Even though the ENPT shoot came to a standstill for various reasons, it didn’t stop Megha from making a splash in Telugu film industry, where she has signed another project with Nithiin as part of the joint production of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram.

In Tamil, she has teamed up with Atharvaa for a new project, which will be directed by R Kannan. Speaking to the Times of India, Kannan said, “Megha is quite versatile as an actress and she already has an enviable repertoire of films in the south. She plays a straightforward vis-com student, who doesn't hesitate to call a spade a spade. We thought she would be apt for the role." Given her good looks and acting talent, Megha is currently one of the most sought-after actresses in southern filmdom.

The untitled project will roll from January. It will be shot in Hyderabad, Chennai and Kallidakurichi. Meanwhile, it is believed that the remaining portion of Enai Noki Paayum Thota will be wrapped up later this month. One of the reasons why Dhanush hasn’t completed shooting for ENPT is that the film’s producer P Madan, who had also bankrolled the actor’s Kodi, hasn’t cleared his remuneration yet. Dhanush has given the makers an ultimatum that he’d only complete shooting the remainder of the portion once all the dues are cleared. Hence, he stopped shooting for the project when it was on the verge of completion and moved on to his other projects such as Power Paandi and VIP 2. Gautham Menon, who was recently working on Dhruva Natchathiram, is currently prepping for the final schedule of his project with Dhanush.

ENPT also stars Sunainaa in a cameo. She will be seen in the Mumbai portion of the film. Even before Megha Akash was roped in, Gautham shot a few scenes with Sunainaa, who plays an important cameo. Though it’s a very small role, Sunainaa didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to work with Gautham, a source said. The film marks the first-time collaboration of Dhanush and Gautham, and it’s tipped to be a campus love saga set against an action backdrop.
