'Master' team unveils special poster ahead of Vijay’s birthday

Vijay’s fans have been discussing his films and circulating a Common Display Picture (CDP) ahead of the actor’s birthday on June 22. The makers of his last outing, action-drama Master, took to Twitter on Friday to share a graphic art poster featuring Vijay in various roles. The special graphic art poster shows almost all the roles that Vijay has performed in his career spanning over two decades. Sharing the poster with fans on Friday, Silver Screen Studios, the banner that distributed the hit Tamil movie Master wrote, “Here is our #Thalapathy Birthday Special Advance birthday wishes to our beloved #Master @actorvijaysir #HappyBirthdayThalapathy #June22.” 

Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Master hit the big screens on January 13. The film stars actor Malavika Mohanan opposite Vijay, while Vijay Sethupathi has essayed the role of an antagonist named Bhavani. Vijay Sethupathi is well-known for his performances in negative roles in movies such as Vikram Vedha and Uppena. Vijay was seen as JD, a college lecturer beloved to his students for his student-friendly approach. He's also a struggling alcoholic in the film. Master also featured a star cast which included actors  Andrea Jeremiah, Ramya Subramanian, Arjun Das, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Nassar, Dheena, Sanjeev, Srinath, Sriman, Sunil Reddy and others in the supporting cast.  

‘Thalapathy’ Vijay is currently working on the tentatively titled Tamil movie Thalapathy 65, co-starring Pooja Hegde, who made her Kollywood debut with the 2012 superhero movie Mugamoodi. Several reports, suggest that the title and first-look poster from the movie might be released either on June 21 or 22 marking Vijay’s 47th birthday. However, official confirmation about the same is awaited.   

Helmed by Nelson Dhilipkumar, Thalapathy 65 recently completed a major schedule in Georgia. The makers haven’t revealed the genre of the movie but it is touted to be an action-packed entertainer.
