Mari Selvaraj meets Dhanush in London, finalises script for their film

Director Mari Selvaraj, who made a smashing debut with his first film Pariyerum Perumal, is all set to join hands with Dhanush for his second directorial venture. The yet-untitled project, scheduled to go on the floors from December, will be bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations.

Mari Selvaraj is currently in London where he met Dhanush to discuss and lock the final draft of his project. Pictures from Mari’s visit have surfaced online and it is learnt from reliable sources that Dhanush is extremely pleased with the final version of the script and he has given his nod.

Talking about the project, the director has been quoted as saying by Cinema Express: "Dhanush gave me the chance to work with him after watching Pariyerum Perumal. Just like my first film, this one will also address an important issue."

The pre-production has been going on for the last couple of months. When the project was announced, Dhanush said he’s so excited to work with a talent Mari. Dhanush is expected to wrap up his work on Karthik Subbaraj’s project and then join the sets of Mari’s film which will be completed by February or March 2020.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has a busy lineup of projects. Last seen playing a local ruffian in Maari 2, Dhanush eagerly awaits the release of Vetrimaaran’s Asuran on October 4. In Asuran, based on Tamil novel Vekkai, Dhanush will be essaying dual roles as father and son. The film also stars Manju Warrier in her Kollywood debut. Dhanush also has Durai Senthil Kumar’s Pattas in the pipeline apart from a project each with directors Mari Selvaraj and Anand L Rai.
