Manju Warrier has high hopes from 'Udaharanam Sujatha'

Manju Warrier’s second innings in the film industry is going very well with the actor bagging some of the best roles. The latest role she has managed to grab is the one in Udaharanam Sujatha. Writing about it on a social networking site, Manju pointed out that she has high expectations from the film.

The actor added that she hoped it would set an example for popular movies. Director Martin Prakkat and actor Joju George are jointly producing this venture which is being helmed by Phantom Praveen. Apart from Manju Warrier, who plays the main lead in Udaharanam Sujatha, the film also has Mamta Mohandas in an important role.

Reports are that the film is set against the backdrop of Chenkal Choola Colony and Cotton Hill Higher Secondary School. Manju Warrier plays a resident of the colony while Mamta will be seen as the Collector. Apart from producing the film, Joju George also plays an important role in the movie with veteran actor Nedumudi Venu also being a part of the star cast. On bagging the role, Manju Warrier had said that she is very excited to be a part of the film. The shooting of this film is currently underway in Thiruvananthapuram.

Manju Warrier’s last outing at the box office, C/O Saira Banu turned out to be a hit with the film receiving positive reviews. The actor has some prestigious projects lined up including Odiyan 3D, Villain and Aami. The actor, who went on a Sabbatical after her 1999 release Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu, staged a strong comeback with the movie How Old Are You in 2014. The film won several awards for Manju including the Kerala State Award for Best Actress and Filmfare South Award for Best Actress.
